Mini Pumpkins
My neighbor runs a daycare and she had asked me if I could make some small pumpkins for her day care kid's Halloween goodie bags. I started stitching away and came up with this quick and easy pattern! These Mini-Pumpkins are great for Fall decorations or gifts! Use them as a table centerpiece for your Thanksgiving Dinner, give as gifts to children you know.

With Orange and hook.
Start with a Magic Circle, Ch 1 in ring.
TIP: If you do not want a seam use a stitch marker and do not Join.
TIP: to lessen the seam, tighten the chain 1 loop before continuing. (video tutorial here)
TIP: instead of the written decreases, you may use (or learn) the invisible decrease method here from Moogly.
Round 1: 8 sc in ring. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (8 sc)
Round 2: 1 sc in next st. 3 sc in next 2 sts. 1 sc in next 2 sts. 3 sc in next 2 sts. 1 sc in last st. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (16 sc)
Round 3: 1 sc in next 3 sts. 3 sc in next 2 sts. 1 sc in next 6 sts. 3 sc in next 2 sts. 1 sc in last 3 sts. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (24 sc)
Round 4: *1 sc in next 2 sts. 2 sc in next st.* Repeat *-* around. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (32 sc)
Round 5-12: (make a taller pumpkin, repeat this round.) 1 sc in each st around. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (32 sc)
Round 13: *1 sc in next 2 sts. Sc2tog.* Repeat *-* around. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (24 sc)
Round 14: 1 sc in next 3 sts. Sc3tog 2 times. 1 sc in next 6 sts. Sc3tog 2 times. 1 sc in last 3 sts. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (16 sc) Fasten Off.
Stuff with fiberfill. Change to green.
Round 15-16: Sc2tog around. Join to first sc. Ch 1. (8, 4 sc)
Round 17: 1 sc around. Join to first sc. (4 sc) Fasten Off. Weave in ends.
