The cat is out of the bag! I've been using and experimenting with oils for 3 years now, that I now realized that I need to share it with you! We have experimented with oils to help with Physical, Spiritual and Emotional Wellness.

Crocheting is a huge emotional boost for me, I enjoy it so much that I tend to crochet all the time to relax. I'm a little introverted and don't say much, so I do my "release" through crocheting. I know, I know, I can't keep it bottled up, and that is my Resolution! Open Up!!

Many of us crochet for leisure, and for some it has turned into a business or a full on hobby that it is starting to take a toll on our hands, neck, back and shoulders. That is just the physical aspect, I just finished with my Christmas orders that I barely made by the deadline! So, on top of the physical pain, I was getting very overwhelmed and stressed out to make my deadline. I normally design my own patterns, and some I have had to purchase patterns for yarns I'm not experienced with, this caused a lot of eye strain for me due to my limited vision.

So, I hope my guide to Essential Oils will help you create a calm, stress-free and painless environment the next time you pick up your hook!

ALL of these oils are in the Premium starter kit! When you order your kit, you are saving over $150 AND get a free 5mL Citrus Fresh Vitality Oil! As always you get to enjoy the 24% Wholesale Discount on your orders AND Essential reward points to spend on more oils for free!
I haven't gone far!

Since the crocheting "season" has slowed down I have been concentrating on working on my book! EEEK! I'm working with a Scout that will be presenting my sample book to MANY publishers this month! I'm so excited to see if I can knock this off my "Vision Bucket List"!

Also, I am in the process of doing Candidacy Screening tests to see if I am eligible for Cochlear Implants. Another EEEK! moment! I'm nervous, excited, scared all rolled into one.

Thank you everyone for continuing to come back and check up on me here and on my facebook page and for your concerns.

I Love You All!!!

Assembly
Using yarn and needle. You will use the ch 1 spaces (aka ladder) to attach your pieces together.

The chain 1 "ladder" in the middle of the three "ladders" on soup cans will be attached to the large fruit can. Be sure you are attaching the correct ones.

For those of you doing the 1/2 Caddy, be sure you have your cans with 2 ladders are on the outside and your cans with 3 ladders are in the inside (attach the 3 ladder cans first) My sample shows the ch 1 holes as if I would be making a full caddy. You will not have the extra ladder exposed as shown here.

Refer to photos below for assistance- You will weave your yarn under each ch 1 of soup can, then fruit can back and forth. Much like a zig zag in a shoe lace. Then pull tight to to have both can covers touching. Before cutting, be sure to leave a long tail on bottom and top to be able to secure and weave in ends.

Then you will repeat this same step for attaching the small cans together. This photo to the left shows all cans are attached before I secured the tails.

Apply the double sided tape to all your cans. After your covers are attached and completed, expose all your tape, then slide into the cover and rub the crocheted cover onto the cans. This will not make it permanent, but will "tack" the pieces together.

I immediately knew I had to use both of these together! The Anne Geddes Baby yarn was so soft and squishy! The Sassy Fabric yarn would be a great accent with it's sheer fabric!
I also have more yarn that is in my box and about to become WIPs. So keep an eye out for more free patterns using these new yarns! You can't wait can you?!
Using your hook, insert your hook into each hole from the front to the back of 30 holes. Using a strand of yarn, pull the yarn through all 30 holes. Taking both tail ends of your yarn, create a tight knot to pull together the Sassy Fabric. Determine a good even length to cut the fabric (be sure not to cut near the last hole you gathered)
Sassy Fabric Edging Tutorial: (refer to photos)
1 Insert Hook into 1st hole of the Sassy Fabric.
2 Insert Hook into ch 4 space.
3 Insert Hook into next hole of Sassy Fabric. Pull through 1st hole of Fabric.
4 Insert Hook into next hole of Sassy Fabric. Pull through loop on hook
5 Repeat Step 4 again. (you are in a sense creating a chain 2.
Repeat All 5 steps again around the lovey.

When you get to the last ch 4 sp. on Step 3, instead of pulling through a hole in Fabric, you will YO the whole piece of fabric to pull a loop through. Then YO again. Cut your fabric and pull remaining fabric through the loop. Trim the fabric to blend in with product.
I was in awe with the Red Heart's Reflective Yarn. I wasn't quite sure what to make! I wanted to make something that was practical and FUN! In my package of yarns to review, I was given Yellow and Black. Now, if you haven't noticed yet, our esteemed little mascot is "Bizzy Bee"! It took some guidance of some fellow crochet artists of what to make. I did attempt to make several different things, but I would run out of yarn or it just wasn't coming out right. So, I took the advice to make a bee backpack! With a twist, using two skeins of Reflective yarn wouldn't make a standard size backpack, so I shrunk it down to be great for little kids to put their favorite toys in to take to a sleep over.
I had the inspiration of a 60's Fringe belt in mind when creating this! I love the look of the texture and the shiny sequins to brighten up my outfits! But, you sure could use it as a skinny scarf to dress up your business suits, spring jackets or whatever you'd like!
My neighbor runs a daycare and she had asked me if I could make some small pumpkins for her day care kid's Halloween goodie bags. I started stitching away and came up with this quick and easy pattern! These Mini-Pumpkins are great for Fall decorations or gifts! Use them as a table centerpiece for your Thanksgiving Dinner, give as gifts to children you know.
I received a box from Red Heart out of the blue a few months ago, and I was tickled pink! Immediately my autistic son is a “sensory seeker”, he gravitated towards the Infinity Boutique yarn, I don’t blame him! It’s SO soft!!!! He didn’t even mind that it was a “girly” color. I came up with this teddy bear because I promised him he could keep the yarn, but ONLY if he let me make something with it. Then the “Hug Me” Teddy was born!
Use a contrasting WW #4 yarn of the color you used and embroider the nose and mouth onto the head.

Sew Head onto the body in a X fashion until completely secure and does not wobble.

Sew Arm and Leg tabs (remember the 2 rows you made to close the opening, that is your “tab”) Don’t forget to keep the toes up!

I did find that the yarn is perfect for brushing to have a fuzzy bear! My sample was made for my autistic child and was told NOT to lol.
